There are some things we discover because we go looking for them.
And then there are things that seem to find us.
For me, Human Design feels like the second.
I didn't wake up one morning and decide that I was going to become a Human Design chart reader.
It has been more of a remembering.
A gradual unfolding.
A feeling that the more I learned, the more pieces of myself began to make sense.
And the more I understood my own design, the more I felt called to share it with others.
The moment Human Design began to make sense
I have always been fascinated by understanding people.
Why we behave the way we do.
Why some things feel natural to one person and completely draining to another.
Why some people seem to thrive when they are constantly doing, while others need space, rest and time to process.
Why we can spend years trying to become who we think we are supposed to be, when perhaps there is another way.
Human Design gave me a language for exploring these questions.
It brought together ideas around energy, decision-making, relationships, conditioning, patterns and individuality in a way that I found deeply fascinating.
But more importantly, it gave me a framework through which I could begin to understand myself.
I am a Self-Projected Projector
In Human Design, I am a Self-Projected Projector.
And learning what this means has been a significant part of my own journey.
Projectors are often described as guides.
Rather than being designed to constantly push, produce and keep going, Projectors are invited to recognise the importance of their energy, wisdom, perspective and ability to see others.
For me, this has created a completely different relationship with the way I work.
I have had to learn that my value isn't determined by how much I can produce.
That resting isn't failing.
That I don't need to compete with the energy of the world around me.
And that being seen and recognised for who I truly am can be more important than trying to prove myself.
This has been a profound lesson.
Learning to trust my own voice
As a Self-Projected Projector, my authority is connected to my G Centre and my voice.
This has made me particularly curious about the relationship between our inner knowing and the way we express ourselves.
There is something powerful about hearing yourself speak.
Sometimes we don't know what we truly think until we hear ourselves say it.
And this has become part of my own process of self-discovery.
What happens when I stop asking everyone else what I should do?
What happens when I listen to my own voice?
What happens when I allow myself to speak from what feels true rather than what I think people want to hear?
Human Design has encouraged me to explore these questions deeply.
From healing myself to understanding others
My journey into Human Design hasn't happened in isolation.
It sits alongside so many of the practices that have already become part of my life.
Breathwork.
Embodiment.
Reiki.
Cacao.
Aromatherapy.
Ritual.
Nature.
Energy work.
Spiritual exploration.
And now Human Design.
I don't see these as completely separate paths.
For me, they are different doorways into the same deeper question:
How can we come home to ourselves?
Human Design gives me a blueprint.
Embodiment gives me the opportunity to feel that blueprint.
Breathwork allows me to connect with the body.
Ritual creates space to slow down and listen.
Aromatherapy engages the senses.
Nature brings me back into presence.
And Human Design gives language to some of the patterns I am experiencing.
This is where my vision for my work has started to become clearer.
Why I decided to become a Human Design chart reader
The more I studied my own chart, the more fascinated I became by the possibility of helping other people understand theirs.
Not because I believe Human Design should tell someone who they are.
Quite the opposite.
I see it as a tool for self-discovery.
Your chart isn't a box you have to fit yourself into.
It isn't a set of rules telling you how you must live.
For me, it is more like a map.
A map that can offer questions.
A map that can highlight patterns.
A map that can help you become curious about the way your energy works.
And perhaps, most importantly, a map that can remind you that you don't have to become someone else.
You can begin to understand yourself more deeply.
What I love about giving a Human Design reading
When I look at someone's chart, I don't want to simply give them information.
I want to create a space where they can recognise themselves.
I want someone to hear something and think:
“Oh… that explains so much.”
Perhaps they have spent years believing they are too sensitive.
Too emotional.
Too slow.
Too intense.
Too energetic.
Too quiet.
Too different.
And then they discover that perhaps what they have been judging about themselves is actually part of their unique design.
That moment of recognition can be incredibly powerful.
It can change the question from:
“What's wrong with me?”
to:
“What if this is simply how I am designed?”
My approach to Human Design
I don't want my readings to be about putting people into boxes.
I want them to be experiential.
Personal.
Intuitive.
Grounded.
And embodied.
I want to take the information within the chart and bring it into real life.
What does this mean for your relationships?
Your work?
Your energy?
Your decision-making?
Your boundaries?
Your rest?
Your creativity?
Your parenting?
Your purpose?
Your relationship with your body?
How can you actually experiment with your design rather than simply learning a list of characteristics?
These are the questions that excite me.
Human Design and the return to self
There is a phrase that keeps coming back to me:
Return to Self.
Perhaps this is why Human Design feels so aligned with the work I have already been creating.
So much of what I offer is about returning.
Returning to the body.
Returning to the breath.
Returning to nature.
Returning to ritual.
Returning to intuition.
Returning to the parts of ourselves that may have become buried underneath expectations, conditioning and the roles we have learned to play.
Human Design adds another doorway into that return.
It invites us to ask:
Who am I beneath the conditioning?
How am I naturally designed to move through life?
What happens when I stop trying to be someone I'm not?
My Human Design Blueprint
This is why I have chosen the word Blueprint for my Human Design readings.
A blueprint doesn't tell you what house you have to build.
It gives you information about the foundations.
It gives you a structure to explore.
And then you get to live inside it.
You get to experiment.
You get to discover.
You get to make choices.
You get to be human.
Your design doesn't remove your free will.
It gives you another lens through which to understand your experience.
Bringing all of my gifts together
I am also beginning to see that I don't have to separate the different parts of myself.
For years, I have explored different modalities and interests.
Sometimes I wondered whether they were separate paths.
Now I'm beginning to see the thread connecting them.
Human Design.
Breathwork.
Reiki.
Cacao.
Aromatherapy.
Ritual.
Embodiment.
Nature.
Creativity.
Spirituality.
They all bring me back to the same place:
connection.
Connection to ourselves.
Connection to our bodies.
Connection to each other.
Connection to nature.
Connection to something greater than ourselves.
This is where Divine Essence by Charisse Franchesca is evolving.
Not as one single modality.
But as a space where these different threads can come together.
Why now?
Perhaps the timing is significant.
I am at a point in my life where I am no longer interested in creating from who I used to be.
I am interested in creating from who I am becoming.
And perhaps that is one of the greatest gifts of Human Design.
It gives us permission to experiment.
To notice.
To question.
To release.
To return.
To become more ourselves.
So I am stepping into this next chapter not because I have everything figured out, but because I feel genuinely called to explore it.
I am studying.
I am learning.
I am experimenting.
I am listening.
And I am allowing myself to be recognised for what comes naturally to me.
Because perhaps becoming a Human Design chart reader isn't really about adding another title to my name.
Perhaps it is about allowing another part of my own blueprint to express itself.
And if my journey can help someone else understand themselves a little more deeply, trust themselves a little more fully, and come home to themselves a little more completely…
then that feels like meaningful work to me.
Your Human Design is not a box you have to fit into.
It is an invitation to discover the person you already are.
And perhaps the real journey isn't becoming someone new.
Perhaps it is simply returning to you.
